## Tips for Success

**Invest time in customization**

The more context you provide to Charles in Step 2, the more tailored and effective your research plan will be. Don't rush this step.

**Always test before launch**

A 10-minute test conversation can save you from discovering issues after participants have completed interviews.

**Keep your research focused**

Resist the urge to ask about everything. Focused studies that go deep on 4-6 topics deliver more actionable insights than broad studies that skim many topics.

**Write for your participants**

Use language your customers understand. Avoid internal jargon in your questions.
