# Highlights videos

> Create and watch a saved video from default-report findings and original participant audio.

Highlights now use the [Intelligence Hub session API](/api-reference/intelligence-hub).
The earlier draft report-reference MP3 endpoints are superseded by this workflow.

1. Create an organization session and sync its study sources.
2. Call `POST /api/public/v1/intelligence-hub/sessions/{session_id}/outputs` with
   `type: "highlights"`, a descriptive `prompt`, and an `Idempotency-Key` header.
3. Poll the returned `poll_url` until the job succeeds. Read its `result.output_id`.
4. Read or download the saved output through the session's output endpoints.

One retained MP4 is generated per default-report revision. Learning goals become
chapter cards and the corresponding detailed-finding quotations become segments,
with branded opening and closing cards. Repeated requests reuse the saved video;
the prompt does not select different quotations. Original participant audio is
used where available; chat-only studies have no artificial narration.

Reads and downloads recheck source access. Downloads redirect to a short-lived
private capability URL; do not treat that URL as permanent public hosting. Audio
may contain participants' identities, so review the video before sharing it.

For MCP, use `generate_research_output` with `type: "highlights"`, poll
`inspect_research_session` with `view: "job"`, and use `download_research_output`
for a private video link. Advanced run-bound individual clips/reels remain
available through `queue_research_deliverable`; these use canonical evidence IDs
and their existing explicit audio-export acknowledgement.
